Daily Dram: Hael Thornweaver

His hands had slight tremble.  Hael shook them trying to stay relaxed for the final portion the trial.  He had to strike five of the seven targets with only three castings of Stinging Nettles.  What made it worse was that the targets would be moving to simulate an actual battlefield, thanks to Captain Thandrin Ulim's magic.  Hael stepped into the training ring determined to earn the wings of Owl Corps



Hael Thornweaver is member of the Silver Sea elves.   They are reclusive people, living in the vast forest from which they take their name.  He is a member of the Owl Corps which is one of the roving bands which patrol the outer edges of the forest.  His parents were members of the Owl Corps as well, but now have become weavers at Raen, one of the three hidden cities of the Silver Sea.  Hael hopes to become a full officer with the Corps and maybe even someday join the Council of Nine, though that day is far off indeed.  For now he enjoys the camaraderie of his companions, but has not fully learnt the lessons of politics.  And that, may be his undoing.
