Daily Dram: The Silver Sea

The warm wind blew across the tops of the aspen making their silver leaves shimmer in the sun.  It continues eastward, flowing over the hundreds of miles of forest and up into the Helzoun Mountains where it finally loses all warmth and life. 

The Silver Sea forest stretches for hundreds of miles north and south along the coastline and a similar distance east into the Helzoun Mountains.  The silver leaves of the aspen are unique.  The elves who call the forest home explain to inquirers that they make them that way for each tree.  Weather or not this is boasting to hide the true number of their people, is for the listen to determine.

There is only one true path through the forest, east to west.  At one point there may have been others, but they have been lost to time and memory.  Those who attempt to bypass the "The Queen's Gift" road, do so at their own peril as the Owl Corps will be sure to catch them and their justice is swift.  Those who wish to traverse north to south, must either travel tightly along the coastline by ship, or traverse the passes of the Helzoun.
