Robe of Enfusing

A tale told about the cloak of a caravan driver from Icewind Dale who had saved the life of a man he had found on the roadside, and later was revealed to be a wizard of some import...

Since the age of Netheril, wizards have learned to bestow a wide variety of magical properties upon the everyday objects that surround them. A favorite item of such enchantment is the common robe. It is lightweight, affordable, and holds its enchantment well, thereby making it ideal equipment for a wizard.

In this case, the heavy full body cape shields the wearer from not just the cold of the North but also the arrows and javelins that eventually find all wagon drivers.
This particular enchantment allows for the fabric to be exceedingly resilient to damage, offering a small magical barrier to protect the wearer.
